Q:What is the difference between Match Grade and Field Grade rifles?
A:The Field Grade barrel has a bit more free-throat to allow the use of military surplus ammo.
 
Q:Is there a difference in QUALITY between Match Grade and Field Grade rifles?
A:No, both rifles are built to the same HIGH STANDARD.
 
Q:What is the accuracy of the rifle?
A:The Match Grade has an MOA (Minute of Angle) accuracy rating. At 1000 yards, that is just slightly larger than 10 inches.
 
Q:Is the Field Grade rifle as accurate?
A:No, due to the WIDE tolerances of military surplus ammo and the extra free-throat needed to accommodate this ammo. If you are (or think you might be) doing any Competition Shooting, the Match Grade rifle is your best choice.
 
Q:May I use military surplus ammo in the Match Grade rifle?
A:You may, under some circumstances. If the ammo in question does NOT have to be FORCED into the chamber. Because of the inconsistency of overall length in the surplus ammo, it may not fit.
 
Q:Will I get MOA accuracy with the military surplus ammo?
A:No, due to the MANY variations in this type of ammo.
 
Q:What scope do you recommend for this rifle?
A:We have had EXCELLENT success with the LEOPOLD MARK 4 M1. It is a 16x with a 40mm objective and a large amount of wind and elevation adjustment.
